A third generation Michigan home builder, Ben got started in small business operation and land development as a resident of affordable student housing cooperatives in the early 1990s. Ben is now a national leader in urban and regional planning and development, with a passion for creating high quality living environments that support health and wellness.
Ben has enjoyed a 30 year career as a market leader for national owner/operators of multifamily housing seeking to enter new markets in Los Angeles, Atlanta, Baltimore, and Cleveland, responsible in each region for overall company performance and development pipeline.
Ben founded Bradstreet Phillips in 2024 to invest in communities nationwide, with a holistic strategy to preserve and enhance cultural, human, and natural resources. Bradstreet Phillips delivers equity growth to shareholders, neighborhood residents, and communities as a whole.
Ben has built more than 50 residential communities, and over 100,000 square feet of commercial, cultural, and educational facilities, including retail, restaurants, performance venues, early education centers, and clinics. These assets represent over $2 billion in value, spread across 9 states from Southern California to New England, from the Barrier Islands to the Great Lakes, and include historic preservation, habitat restoration, transit oriented development, public housing redevelopment, shelter and supportive homes for frail seniors and those experiencing homelessness, and for sale homebuilding including detached, semi detached, condominiums, and cooperatives and other forms of social housing.
An amateur musician and outdoorsman, Ben enjoys playing chamber music, skiing, paddling, and is a multiple Ironman triathlon finisher.
